[xmlsec] Verifying Detached signature

Hi
I am trying to verify ( and generate) a detached signature using this xmlsec
library.
But it seems like this library doesn't support the direct verification of
detached signatures, but works only for enveloped signatures.
Do I have to look in openssl library, over which this library is built.
Can I get help regarding where to look for implementing this?
