I meant "major code surgery" :) Well, you are right, the wording is not 
quite
correct and I've changed it. Thanks for correction!
I hope that after doing these changes adding other crypto engines support
will be easy. Probably, I'll try to add gpgme after this but as you said 
I am
not sure about licensing yet.
