Hm... everything looks correct to me:

    [aleksey at shell aleksey]$ xml2-config --libs
    -L/usr/lib -lxml2 -lz -lm
    [aleksey at shell aleksey]$ xml2-config --version
    2.4.24

What's wrong here?
